1992

  Crisis of the WSK “PZL Mielec”, resulted from the early phase of economic transformation in Poland, beginning of the enterprise restructuring period.  
The concept of the Zone in response to the dramatic state of the town and region (high unemployment rate, redundant production assets, lack of work offers in the labour market).

1994

  Law act of Polish Parliament concerning the Special Economic Zones in Poland passed.

1995

 

Decree by the Council of Ministers on Special Economic Zone in Mielec passed, Grand opening of the zone with the participation of Poland’s Prime Minister.

1996

  Starting of Operations in the SEZ EURO-PARK MIELEC.

2001-03

  Extension of SEZ EURO-PARK MIELEC to incorporate industrial areas in Dębica, Gorlice, Sanok, Leżajsk, Jarosław, Pustków.

2004

  95 licenses issued for business activity within the zone , over 500 million USD of investment capital,  8900 new jobs created.

2005

  Ten years activity of SEZ EURO-PARK MIELEC. Creation of Industrial Park within the Zone.

 2007

  Further extension of SEZ EURO-PARK MIELEC by Subzones in  Rzeszów (Trzebownisko and Głogów Młp.), Lublin, Zagórz, Ostrów, Lubaczów and Ropczyce.
